· Led a cross-functional team through the planning, design, and construction of new overhead/underground electrical network facilities for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings over a 64 square mile area.
· Oversaw the project design, cost benefit analysis, and milestone timeline for the construction/layout of a new underground power grid for a residential neighborhood of 16 homes. This required extensive coordination/communication between both internal Mississippi Power personnel and community planners to insure a seamless execution.
· Provided key maintenance operations and upgrades to the system protection equipment to maximize network responsiveness and uptime. This enhanced customer protection during inclement weather and improved the company’s ability to isolate line issues, which helped to minimize outages.
· Assisted in storm/hurricane restoration efforts by assessing damages and estimating the required material needed for repairs. These efforts helped to properly utilize the available workforce and directly led to reduced outage times.
· Monitored the power demand of single phase underground locations and drafted work orders to rearrange the phasing. These changes enhanced customer power quality, improved the balance of the load across all three phases, and evened the distribution of the current demand between the three phases.
