OSP Field Engineer
• Conduct detailed field surveys of aerial and underground telecommunications infrastructure, gathering accurate route data to support scalable network expansion and modernization projects.
• Analyze pole lines, conduit systems, and right-of-way conditions to develop efficient, future-ready pathways for fiber and copper network deployment.
• Evaluate pole attachment requirements, clearances, loading calculations, and structural capacity in compliance with NESC and local utility standards.
• Interpret engineering prints, staking sheets, and as-built drawings to bridge the gap between design intent and real-world field conditions.
• Perform construction validation and quality audits of cable placement, splicing, and network builds to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and performance standards.
• Identify design conflicts, permitting challenges, and infrastructure constraints early, delivering proactive solutions that reduce project delays and cost overruns.
• Maintain accurate documentation within GIS and internal tracking systems, supporting data integrity for long-term network planning and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineers, project managers, construction crews, and municipal agencies to drive successful telecom deployments.
• Contribute to continuous network improvement initiatives by combining field expertise, regulatory knowledge, and technical insight to strengthen broadband infrastructure growth.
