Skilled SQL Developer with strong database design and troubleshooting capabilities. Proven ability to enhance user satisfaction through effective technical support and innovative solutions.
With over 40 years of experience, I’ve had the chance to wear many hats and take on exciting challenges. I started working with SQL in 1981 and have since collaborated with numerous SQL vendors. My roles have included DBA and Database Architect, and at one point I managed a team of 27 programmers. A standout achievement was designing an interface between an automated manufacturing BSD-based control system and IMS DB2 databases, using cutting-edge hardware and Proteon 10 (“ProNet 10”) socket programming to link BSD automation controllers with IMS/DB2, back before Ethernet was widely practical (circa 1983–85). I’ve led global projects with multiple vendors and thrive on teaming up with talented people to deliver state-of-the-art solutions. I love challenges and the opportunity to create high-quality, innovative results.
