  • I was also tasked with going to another paper mill in Escanaba, Michigan, and replacing filters there
  • I was sent because I am young and healthy
  • The mill had an outbreak of Blastomycosis, and the other workers that did filters there got sick, so I was sent to a hazardous area to replace the filters
  • I also worked this job to help pay my way through college while I was home for the summers.
  • Maintained all safety protocols while working on job sites, including wearing personal protective gear.

  • While working for the Grounds Department at Pensacola Christian College, I maintained a clean, healthy, and appealing campus
  • To accomplish this goal, I would mow the campus, trimming, weeding, planting, blowing, and vacuuming up debris on the campus
  • Whenever there was a massive storm, we would also clean to ensure that when the campus was open it looked as appealing as before the storm hit
  • With this job being in Florida, severe weather was a common occurrence, especially the heat
  • Even with the extreme weather, I would still work through it to ensure that whatever task I was given was accomplished
  • I worked this job through college to help pay for my education.

  • While working for G and J Site Solutions, I worked for state and private contractors on landscaping jobs ranging from private homes to state highways
  • My job would include planting flowers, trees, and bushes, seeding and mulching planes and slopes, placing silt fence, placing edging, and occasionally assisting with installing irrigation and silt fence
  • Sometimes I would run the crew and manage expectations for completing the job
  • This would include ensuring we had all materials before leaving our shop in Calumet, maintaining the job site, and ensuring tasks were done as safely and efficiently as possible
  • I would haul materials or equipment for the job, including the seed and fertilizer we would use, the tools we would use, and the hydro seeders and straw blowers that we needed for jobs
  • While working, we would experience severe weather from extreme heat, rainstorms, and even snowstorms but I would still work in these conditions to ensure the job would get done
  • While working for G and J I decided to attend college so I worked for them until I left for school and continued to do that till June of 2022 when I was moved to a different district in Michigan.

  • At Ericksons Feed Seed and Pet Supply, I stocked shelves with animal feed and other miscellaneous supplies as well as cleaned the store inside and outside, which would include mopping, sweeping, dusting, trash removal, mowing, weed removal, and just basic tidying of the store
  • I would also help customers find whatever they may need or help give them advice on what was the best product for the task they had; if I couldn't help, then I brought them to someone who could help, along with working the cash register and when a transaction was completed, I would assist them with taking their purchases to their vehicles
  • I would also assist my boss with tasks on his farm, whether it was feeding the cattle, fixing something they broke, cleaning up after them, or helping load them up and take them to the butcher
  • When the process was completed, I would go again and retrieve what was left and bring it back for distribution.
