  • PurpleStride Columbus 2024: PurpleStride Event Experience Chair (February 2024-April 2024)

As an Event Experience Chair Member, my primary responsibility was to enhance the atmosphere and comfort level at the PurpleStride walk for pancreatic cancer. This involves obtaining food and beverage donations  from various sources such as grocery stores and small businesses. My duties included coordinating with local establishments to secure donations, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely delivery/pick-up of items for  the event. Additionally, you will work closely with the event planning  team to align food and beverage offerings with the overall theme and  objectives of the walk. Your efforts will contribute significantly to  creating a positive and memorable experience for participants,  volunteers, and supporters of the PurpleStride event.


  • Columbus Race Planning Committee: Road Marshal Lead (February 2024-May 2024)

As a Road Marshal Lead, my primary responsibility is to delegate volunteers to areas throughout the course to ensure proper direction during the event. Responsibilities also include directing racers along the course, assisting with registration, cheering on participants, and providing assistance to distressed individuals or lost children. Volunteers are also tasked with reporting any suspicious activity, including unattended packages or drones, and helping to maintain cleanliness by removing trash along the course. At the end of the race, volunteers are asked to gather and return any signs used during the event.
