Wide variety of experience on lots of GA avionics systems and airframes. My experience ranges from 1970s avionics to the newest flight decks available. I have worked on most piston GA aircraft from Cessna, Piper, Diamond, Mooney, Beechcraft, Tecnam, experimentals, as well as Cessna jets up to Citation V's, the TBM 700 airframe, and the DC-10. I have done single unit installations, interfaced to existing systems, all the way up to full panel retro fit installs. I have experience with 100 hour/annual inspections, powerplant maintenance, and airframe work. Much of my time has also been spent troubleshooting and debugging issues on installed systems from audio noise issues to G1000/G3000 problems. I have experience dealing with customers/owners and often times have gone along with pilots to test fly aircraft in order to further diagnose problems. I have a lot of experience dealing with tech support and am able to communicate in a profession manner in order to resolve issues from initial troubleshooting until completion.
When I moved into the lead position in April 2024, I managed and trained two technicians. This entailed planning work, managing/tracking the schedule, and providing assistance where needed. I focused on most of the troubleshooting/drop in work on all the G1000/G3000 flight decks while guiding the other technicians with routine work, submitting squawks, locating parts, etc. In this position I dealt very closely with Daher and Garmin tech support. This included staying on top of emails, providing detailed reports of troubleshooting efforts to field service representatives, and working with the QC department to make smart decisions regarding the airworthiness of the aircraft.
