I have 2.5 years of ICS and 4.5 years of AB experience between Apparel (ICS), Hardware (AB), and currently with the TVs team (ICS). My time as an ICS has helped me gain a deep understanding of the importance of mastering the basics of inventory management, communication between suppliers, regional offices, and our internal teams / stakeholders, and lastly, how to maintain an organized desk amongst the ever-changing climate in Buying. As an Assistant Buyer, my understanding evolved into learning what goes into buying an item from start to finish, how to negotiate with suppliers and have more in-depth conversations regarding current business needs and where the business should go, how to manage employees (ICS'), and how to budget, plan, and do all the higher level managing for items/categories. I believe my experience in Merchandising has set me up to be a perfect candidate for this position and I would love the opportunity to be able to speak more about it.
