  • Designs various assets and installs containing mechanical and electrical components within the interior of custom G700 aircraft.
  • Creates custom designs based on customer definition, including unique dimensioning and mechanical/electrical features. Designs must also mate and support surrounding designs within the aircraft, as well as be easily manufacturable.
  • Utilizes software such as CATIA, AutoCAD, Smarteam, Capital Harness to deliver industry leading designs.
  • Some of many assets designed include support brackets, divan end cabinets, therapeutic oxygen assemblies/installs, cabin seats, FWD/AFT lavatories, bulkheads/pocket doors, credenzas, and cabin wiring.
  • Complies with quality engineering, stress engineering, and FAA representatives (ARs), working in accordance with their regulations and standards.
  • Works in collaboration with multiple teams, departments, and subject matter experts/asset owners to constantly improve design practices and workflow efficiency.
  • Team is comprised of mechanical and electrical engineers, working in collaboration with electrical engineers when creating harness designs.

Mechanical Design Engineer Intern

UGA Facilities Management Division
04.2023 - 09.2023
  • Assists engineering team with various technical activities related to building design for rooms and mechanical devices, such as building blueprint designs and model renderings with Revit application for conduit routing and other applications.
  • Tasked with drawing various mechanical and plumbing systems using Revit and AutoCAD while providing analysis supporting heating / cooling load calculations determined by dimensions and designs of buildings regarding various factors like layout of walls, roof, floor, and windows.
  • Perform 3D laser scans of buildings and spaces across UGA's campus and later designing Revit models with them.

Mechanical Engineering Intern

UGA Office Of University Architects
03.2022 - 04.2023
  • Assist project managers in planning and development of new UGA facilities, ensuring that physical development of UGA property supports University's master plan.
  • Assist Director of Engineering in reviewing MEP details for a project.
  • Attend many on-site meetings across campus with project managers and engineers from different companies.
  • Annually update UGA's 800+ page Design Standards, implementing hundreds of edits and additions based on comments from all of University's many departments and divisions using Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam Revu.

Mechanical Engineering Intern

Hunt Industries / Advanced Vessel And Alloy
05.2021 - 08.2021
  • Spent one month assembling beams, ladders and handrails in beam line department, learning skills in welding, analyzing blueprints and using other industrial tools.
  • Worked for one week at Georgia Pacific paper mill in Cedar Springs conducting various renovations (7 days, 12 hours/day).
  • Worked office position for remainder of summer (approximately 8 weeks), assisting quality control department and learning to design pressurized vessels through Compress software. During this period I also assisted company in transitioning from AutoCad software to Solidworks.

Senior Capstone Design Project

Bell Textron Inc.
08.2022 - 05.2023
  • Worked in collaboration with Bell Flight with three other group members to determine feasibility of utilizing additive manufacturing and topology optimization on parts of their aircraft.
  • Skills developed in this process were CAD, Ansys, topology optimization, 3D metal printing, material selection, material testing, failure analysis and treatment methods.
