I take direct reports from a global team of Mechanical Design Engineers who support the sustaining efforts on all of ChargePoint's products. In addition to my work as an engineering manager, I built and now lead the sustaining program. This work requires me to develop and implement methodical Jira solutions for effectively and efficiently tracking performance, projects and programs in a hybrid work environment.
I am the lead engineer of an international design team that manages all of the sustaining projects for both AC and DC product lines. My work requires me to solve complex issues that arise from the field, factory or qualify change requests for cost down or product improvement. In addition to my work as an individual contributor in taking projects from concept to mass production, I have gone above and beyond my roll by defining and then implementing a methodical workflow that has now been coded into JIRA and is used by cross functional teams. I also worked with cross functional leaders to define and formalize the change management process.
At BC Mechanical I was a design consultant so I worked on a varitey of projects that improved my understanding of Sheetmetal manufacturing, plastic injection molding design, customer communication and experiment design.
Chamrosh Aviation is a failed drone startup that I was the CTO and a co-founder of. The product was a drone that would provide emergency services such as lifeguarding at beaches, ski resort rescue missions or fire fighting. While this company never got off the ground I was exposed to a lot of elements of business outside of engineering such as sales, marketing, leadership, negotiation and people management. In other words, I consider it equivalent to MBA level experience and certainly consider this experience as valuable in my overall development as a professional since most engineers will never gain direct experience with the business side of a company.
I designed factory test equipment for the Model 3 infotainment boards, custom cables, key fob and some other sensor boards.
My duties extend from negotiating quotes with the customer on the front end all the way through product development, manufacturing and assembly of all kinds of custom factory test equipment.
