Summary

I am an African/Hispanic woman who first started my career as a healthcare worker. When I decided to depart after my 10 years of working in that field, I relocated to New York where I worked as a nanny for a few years. I focused on home schooling of children as well as rearing them. That is when I decided to extend my Education in K-6, in order to aid the children I worked with.

I found that I really enjoyed working with children more than anything. Because of this, I had decided to earn a M.Ed with an emphasis on special education.

Once I got into the classroom full-time, teaching general education, I realized that I’d like to focus more on English language learners and extend my expertise to them.
