“Black Excellence Showcase”- The purpose of this event was to celebrate and promote diversity at Northeastern State University by showcasing many beautiful African Americans and their gifts.


Date: February 2020

“When They See Us” showcase and roundtable —The purpose of the “When They See Us” Showing and Roundtable is to display the injustices the Exonerated Five experienced as well as create awareness of injustices in our society today. This event happened over the span of 3 separate days. Days one and two including live watching on the series, and day three wrapped up the series and lead into the guided table talk. During the table talk participants were able to express their reactions and voice their concerns for the future.
