I became an Educational Sign Language Interpreter in 2023. I work in a middle school providing access through American Sign Language for Deaf students during the school day. I collaborate with the IEP team and teachers regarding how to provide the best access for students I service.
I work as a respite care worker for a client who has Down Syndrome. We work on independent living skills in her home and out in the community.
I provided educational support for children in the classroom. The students were Deaf and Deaf blind. The support I provided included educational, job training, and independent living skills. The ages I have worked with range from 3 to 26.
I am bilingual I have great people skills, and love to interact with people and children Throughout the years, I have had a lot of experience babysitting, taking care of my own children, being a nursery supervisor at my church, and I currently serve as a small group leader at my church for seventh grade girls
I currently hold a 3.6 EIPA for educational interpreting. I am bilingual.
