My interest in Nursing started after hospitalization for MRSA. Unfortunately I did pass that infection to my then 5 year old daughter. After my daughters long hospitalization, I was able to care and manage IVPB antibiotics for her at home. During this experience I knew my calling was to become a successful nurse. After nursing school and passing NCLEX, I worked on the stepdown Neurology unit at Saint Francis Health Systems. Continued to grow as a nurse by teaching and precepting other nurse's coming into the profession. After almost 10 years in Neuro wanted to expand my nursing profession in Cardiac and accepted a position at St John's. At St John's I have worked both cardiac stepdown unit floors, CV float pool and CVPR. Working these units prepared me for my current role as manager.
While at St John's I have been awarded multiple Daisy Awards and the Daisy Leader Award
