Hobbies and Interests

Spending time with my family - husband, 4 sons - 29, 27, 23 and 19. Volunteering at Pearl City High School with the Parent Teacher Student Association which gives me the opportunity to meet new people and to work with them. Traveling, baking, sewing, crocheting and gardening. Enjoying each day we are blessed with and living it to the fullest.

Community Service

  • Pearl City High School, Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), President, Pearl City, HI, USA, 2024-07, 2026-06, Responsibilities: Oversee and guide the PTSA at Pearl City High School which includes working with the administration, teachers, parents and students at the high school. This includes fundraising for Student Scholarships, Teacher Grants/Appreciation and Project Graduation. Guide the sub-committees within our PTSA in planning and execution of Project Graduation. Chaperone Project Graduation as needed.
  • Pearl City High School, Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), Vice President, Pearl City, HI, USA, 2022-07, 2024-06, Responsibilities: Chaired the PTSA Membership Drive, Requested Donations from businesses for Student Scholarships, Teacher Grants/Appreciation and Project Graduation.
  • Pearl City High School, Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), Co-Chair for Project Graduation, Pearl City, HI, USA, 2022-07, 2024-06, Responsibilities: Coordinate everything for Project Grad (PG). Fundraising for Project Grad, Communicate with parents and students using email for fundraising events and scheduling. Held WebEx and/or Google Meets for Parent Meetings. Worked with PCHS Administration & Staff, high school students on planning (getting ideas for what students wanted at their PG) and carrying out fundraising activities. Budgeted, coordinated parent volunteers, obtained vendors, purchased favors, etc. for PG. The class of ‘24 had a safe and memorable PG to remember for a lifetime.
  • Pearl City Highlands Intermediate School Band, Parent Chaperone, Pearl City, HI, USA, 2020-03, Responsibilities: Supervise 7th & 8th grade students (boys & girls) on our 3 day band trip to Maui. Covid broke out during our trip and had to work on plans with the band directors and parents to keep students safe.
  • Pearl City High School Band, Parent Chaperone, Pearl City, HI, USA, 2018-11, Responsibilities: Supervise 12 junior and senior students (girls) on our 10 day band trip to Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York. Did daily wake up calls, bed checks, made sure they were safe and together, listened to them. I held nightly gatherings in my room so they could share their experiences with each other and myself and I could relay updates from our band director to them.
