  • Program Development: Responsible for developing and managing the key aspects of the homeownership program, including homeowner selection and support, homebuyer education, mortgage origination, and delinquency management.
  • In conjunction with the Communications Department, develop, coordinate, and oversee the recruitment process for homeownership program, seeing to endure the candidate pool is inclusive of all populations, demographics, and communities we serve.
  • Underwriting: Review application and supporting income and asset documentation using mortgage-underwriting guidelines to determine program eligibility.
  • Homeowner Education: Develop, coordinate and teach curriculum for pre and post home ownership. This requires partnering with community HUD certified education counseling partners.
  • Outside Committee Management: Recruiting, training, and management of department committees including Homeowner Selection, Critical Repair and Budget Coaching.
  • Real Estate Closing Preparation: Ensure families are fully prepared for closing by making certain all major components of pre-closing documents are ordered, received and conform to guidelines, including home appraisals, select homeowners' insurance, flood zone determinations, coordinate punch and walk-through appointments with critical repair manager for partner families prior to closing. Preparation of Loan Estimates (LE). Work with the title company to prepare and approve Closing Disclosure (CD) and various other closing documents to meet federal, state and HFHI requirements.
  • HOA Management: Conduct neighborhood inspections to ensure compliance with CC&Rs of each neighborhood. Attend and guide HOA board and all-member meetings, maintaining communication, problem solving, and community development.
  • Post-Closing: Maintain applicant and homeowner files within proper compliance/audit standards. Review of post-closing payment schedules, delinquency management including foreclosures and bankruptcy, reporting to appropriate parties. Facilitate and document all post-closing warranty and maintenance issues with construction department.
  • Board Reporting: Meet regularly with the Board of Directors to inform of department processes, concerns, community development and accomplishments.
