Chet Bachman
Ever since I was young, I was raised on hard work, discipline, respect, and doing the right thing even if no one was watching. And I have my mom and dad to thank for that, and above all, my Father in Heaven. There are a lot of qualities I don't have, especially art. But the one quality I will always pride myself on having is grit, the ability to get back up after being knocked down over and over. And I'll tell you why: when I played High School football, I lost 39/40 games, and the one game we won, I wasn't able to play due to a torn ACL at the time. But walking off the field 39 times after giving every ounce of effort you could give and not achieving the result is heartbreaking to say the least. But every Monday I came to practice, working even harder to win. And even though I wasn't on the field at the time, we achieved that victory. So without a doubt, I know I have the grit and willingness to pursue my goals and dreams even if it takes me 39 times as it did with football. To top it off, I will work hard to achieve my goals, and I won't stop even if I fail over and over.

1 MonthOatland Island Wildlife Center hosts a small festival called the "Harvest Festival" every year. Secured position on hay trailer to assist with transportation during Harvest Festival. To get from the front of the Wildlife Center to where the main fun of the Harvest Festival took place, you could either walk or take the hay ride in a trailer with hay bales to sit on. Helped guests board and disembark from trailer while providing welcoming and respectful service. Volunteered for 5 hours to enhance festival experience for attendees.

1 MonthEvery year, Oatland Island holds volunteer opportunities for young teens and adults. The first event I volunteered for was called the "Halloween Hike," where I worked the concession stand for 5 hours.

Trinity Chapel Methodist Church is the church I have gone to growing up as a kid and even as a young adult. (remove) on two separate occasions, I have volunteered to help clean up the beach on Tybee Island. Both times we were cleaning the beach for 2 hours. So four hours in total.
Assisted in organizing community outreach events to enhance member engagement.
Supported administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping for church activities.
Collaborated with team members to maintain accurate inventory of supplies for events.
