Committed and experienced production operator and lead. That cares and places safety and quality as a priority. Self motivated, caring, hard working individual.
Enhanced production efficiency by implementing optimized machine settings and routine maintenance procedures. Reduced equipment downtime by troubleshooting issues and performing timely repairs or calling out maintenance if I am not authorized to make the repair. I increased overall product quality through meticulous attention to detail during operation processes. Streamlined workflow by identifying bottlenecks in the production line and suggesting improvements. I perform production reporting and quality testing to maintain inventory levels and quality product. I check PMCS and BOMs to make sure we have the supplies we need to run the schedule. If we do not have the supplies I work with the lead to figure out what is the most beneficial and efficient changeover. I also work with maintenance and systems to fix the machine. I make sure to stay engaged with maintenance and systems, and ask questions so I can understand what was done to fix it. This way I can further troubleshoot the machine next time and fix it myself, or better explain it to systems and maintenance so it gets fixed faster. I do my best to create the best overall product quality through meticulous attention to detail during operation processes. I try to identify bottlenecks in the production line and suggesting improvements. I assist in training new operators, sharing knowledge of best practices and promoting a culture of teamwork amongst peers.
In this position I would assist the coban department in maintaining safety and quality. I used my communication skills everyday to talk with the crews on what they need. In tier meetings with every crew at the beginning of every shift I covered with them any safety concerns, input shortages, and machine issues. I stayed in touch with the production supervisors and communicated with them often to summarize what is happening on the production floor, input shortages that need to be addressed as well as machine issues. I helped run machines through breaks as well as monitor employee break times. I worked with operators, engineers, and maintenance to troubleshoot machine issues. I worked with department analyst to order materials and revise machine production schedules to produce product as efficiently as possible. I monitored and kept employees up to date on training courses. I worked with new employees to train them on production reporting and how to run machine efficiently and safely. I performed 5s projects on areas throughout the department. I also perform quality and safety audits on machines monthly. I checked output tickets to verify correct information. I also ran machines throughout the department as needed due to short staff and call ins. I handled documentation of machine downtime for the department. I helped coworkers work through interpersonal issues they might be having. I worked with machine specialist to improve the productivity of the machines as well as stream line settings to help operators be more efficient. I worked with new hires and new transfers to the department with their OTJ to make sure they learn the machine and understand it in a timely fashion. I checked to make sure pre-shift cleaning as well as weekly cleaning is done correctly and documented properly. Assisted production crews when they find contamination by taking pictures, gather samples, filling out proper paperwork, and contacting quality engineer to explain the situation before getting clearance to run the machine again. I communicated with engineers on waste and how to improve it by reporting to them how the converting machines are handling the changes they made to the machines that make material for the converting machines. I worked with engineers to troubleshoot issues not just with the machine but with the components we have to take in and out of the machines. Streamlined operations by implementing efficient processes and workflows, leading to increased productivity. Stayed in touch with the supervisor so that they were aware of issues when they happened. Also the supervisor could help us get the support we needed.

If we do not have the supplies I work with the lead to figure out what is the most beneficial and efficient changeover. I also work with the assistant operator and packer to teach them how to run the machine efficiently and troubleshoot the machine. This allows us as a team to run the machine at top speed while still maintaining a quality product. Lathe 5 is still a new machine so as an operator I work with the engineers on the issues we are having and to give them ideas on how to make it better and more efficient for the crews. I also listen and ask how the machine works and what adjustments are best and most efficient.
Assist with daily tasks like changing jumbos, labels, film, and ribbon. Assist with running the machine like making adjustments to the compact roller to prevent wraps. Also making adjustments to the doboy like the coder and cut position so the print on the packaging is correct. Assist by doing the production report this is important so that materials are claimed correctly and testing is done diligently and entered correctly. I also assisted in packing out the final product.
My duties in tape were to help with daily tasks like changing jumbos and performing splices. I also did the report which was important to the machine so that all materials were claimed correctly and materials were at the machine on time to keep running. I was also in charge of packing, and deciding the quickest and most efficient way to pack the final product.
As a floater I helped perform daily tasks and I helped pack. As a floater I went from machine to machine depending on priority. Helping assistants pack or helping operators while there assistants went to break.
I did daily tasks like changing jumbos, film, ribbon; and making primaries . I also did the production report and testing. I would lead the crew through changeovers as efficiently as possible. Day to day I would try to keep things moving efficiently to get as much product out as safely and mistake free as possible.

I operated farm equipment such as tractors, and trucks safely as possible. I performed preventative maintenance on equipment such as disks, tillers, planters, rollers, trucks, and tractors. I changed fluids, bearing, shanks, and blades. Also washed equipment to keep the machines working properly. Removed rocks and prepared soil for planting.
I helped shovel and level asphalt. I also helped guide dump trucks into position around the job site and back up to the paver. I operated the rubber tire packer, this involved learning how to judge asphalt temperature. Once the temperature was right I would drive the packer to pack the asphalt and cool it so it could be cold rolled. If the temperature wasn't right it would ruin the strength of the asphalt.

I work to always keep the herd healthy which involves deciding which vaccines to use and when. I order feed when need for the herd. I make rations that are specific to groups of the herd depending on age and gestation. I also decide when to breed groups of the herd depending on age and condition of the animals while keeping up with the high points of the market and when I need to be lambing in order to have lambs finished to hit the high market points. I keep my own finance records and book keeping. As well as herd production book keeping. The record keeping is important to work with my FSA loan officer on operating loans and when to get loans and what type of loan to grow the herd as well.
