• While interning at the health center, I saw a wide variety of the population; from older pediatric, to geriatric patients. I performed vitals, as well as patient charting, and rooming. I observed tasks such as: injections and influenza, rapid strep, and Covid-19 testing. I also assisted in the prep of ear irrigation, and cryotherapy. I assisted with tasks such as EKGs, and room prep for incoming patients.
• Interning at the Reid Emery building, I observed the specialties office under Dr. Massad. I spent most of my time at the Reid Emery under Dr. Rioux observing B-12 injections, and assisting with common family practices such as: venipuncture, urinalysis and more.

During my lab studies at the Beth C. Wright cancer center in Baileyville, I learned venipuncture and capillary techniques as well as proper IM, SC, and intradermal injection techniques. I learned many things from maintaining sterile fields, to performing a successful EKG. I spent a total of 88 hours in the lab practicing one-on-one to enhance my skills.
