BisonHacks 2025: PolicyPulse

Third Place & Moody's Challenge Winner, C++

Howard University School of Business hosted hackathon, and the longest running hackathon at our university. Created in collaboration with three other students, PolicyPulse is a program coded in Python and JavaScript that addresses Howard's motto of "Truth and Service" by serving as a way for policymakers to analyze their policy's impact on the climate. After importing a policy onto the platform, the service, powered by AI, analyzes the policy and uses an algorithm trained on a database of climate data to determine the projected outcomes of the policy on emissions, global temperatures, and more. PolicyPulse. Out of 17 teams, our team placed 3rd overall and won the Moody's Climate Challenge.

Schoolwide Scheduler (2024)

C++

Collaborative project created in my senior of high school. Schoolwide Scheduler is intended to help high schools coordinate large events such as plays, games, and dances by coordinating the schedules of all teachers in order to find available chaperones. The platform also included a way to view accepted events, request someone to take over responsibility and see upcoming events that fit their schedule. The project was completed on the backend, with frontend implementation proposed as a future addition.
