DC had a new law that was established during this time that made it illegal for cell phones to be used in class. This internship was established to support this law and develop a prototype cell phone locker that could hold hundreds of phones at once. We had nearly 2 months to plan, piece together, and finish this project. We had many different teams. Specifically me, I was on the build team. We had to move heavy object, learn how to use multiple different machines for cutting and work together to make ideas for the cell phone locker.
I collaborated with a team of people who were all first timers when it came to Engineering work and was able to accomplish building a prototype cell phone locker capable of holding several hundred pounds. Up to 200 phones per locker, and had extra mobility due to the wheels we added.
