- Supervise and mentor Production Associates to ensure efficiency. Streamline the purchasing and procurement process by identifying and eliminating bottlenecks in the production process.
- Liaise with Sales and demand planners to initiate buy plans with vendors and negotiate costing on products and ship dates.
- Maintain proactive communication with vendors to improve and reduce supply chain disruptions, negotiate better buy costs, and identifying new business opportunities.
- Onboard vendors, handle set up documents and processing wire payments. Issues purchase orders to vendors and get final order validation and updates to make any changes or adjustments needed for final buy plans in the SAP system.
- Manage WIP and track weekly production reports. Work with vendors in production stages up until they generate bookings and orders are scheduled to shipping port.
- Collaborate with internal partners to resolve any delivery concerns, pre-production bottlenecks, inspections to ensure all shipments meet customers' ship windows.
