A people person, with a bubbly personality and years of experience in customer service!
Reason for Leaving:
Initially I reached out to my employer with the motivated interest in learning the trade, and was hired on as his apprentice. We gave it a try but both learned this wasn't the best long-term fit for either of us; He needed experienced help more than the responsibility of a hands-on student, and as a single mom I needed more of a set schedule. We came to this conclusion on good terms! You never know until you try, and at 33 years old I am proud to have learned how unafraid of a challenge I am!
What I Am Currently Looking For In A Career:
My children are school-age, and a profession that supports me around their schedule would be most ideal. The bulk of my work experience has hinged on customer service (in varying industries), and office admin-type duties. Based on such, I would thrive most in an office setting. I am open to commuting and/or working from home! I do have a reliable vehicle if a commute is required (I live in Gooding, Idaho). I also have high-speed internet, a high-quality PC, a scanner, a fax machine, and a copier...in a home office! My only reason for ever missing work would be in the event of having a sick kiddo, in which case I would love the ability to still be a valuable contribution from home (if possible!) A stable 9:00-5:00, or basically a great work/mom-life balance, is what I need at this juncture in my life, as I am really wanting to settle into a lifetime career. I am really wanting to leave behind a chapter of temporary or transitional jobs, and find a workplace that I can make my home-away-from-home and build a retirement with. I love people, and providing them with compassionate service (whether electronic, in person, or over-the-phone), and one of my strongest assets is my patience. My patience aids in my professionalism, as I am able to keep a level-head when on the receiving end of heightened emotions. I also thoroughly enjoy office work, such as data entry, filing, etc. In some ways, I seem to have a Type A personality; I am passionate about organization, for example!
Some close family friends are business owners of two separate businesses (The Hummingbird House, and Western Spirits). They hired me under both businesses simultaneously. I bounced between them; some days running the Hummingbird House kitchen, and other days doing maintenance for Western Spirits. I balanced both for 1.5 year(s) and learned a lot about a lot in that condensed period of time.

Reason for Leaving:
At the time, we had a newborn baby whom we didn't want to put in daycare, and our nanny retired/moved. So, my then-husband encouraged me to become a stay-at-home mom.
Employment Gap Explained:
I took a two-year employment gap as a stay-at-home mom and homeschooled my children. Shortly after my youngest turned 2, my husband asked for a divorce. He left immediately. Our home, etc, were in my name. By the following day, I had my children enrolled in public school and daycare, and I had a job with Valley Wide Co-op. Unfortunately, my administrative position for the Walker Center had long been filled.
