CHLOE DEKKER

As an undergraduate majoring in wildlife, I am looking to pursue a career that offers the opportunity to contribute to conserving our planet's ecosystems and preserving endangered species populations. California is such a beautiful and diverse state, and after having the opportunity to explore it, I feel inspired to be one of the people working to protect and preserve what’s left of it. I enjoy all branches of wildlife biology, but with a heavy emphasis on birds and outdoor fieldwork. I also have an interest in teaching and mentoring others regarding this subject. Outside of school, I love indoor and outdoor activities alike. I love being outside, camping and hiking, being able to enjoy the natural scenery, and identifying different species that I find. I also love cozy afternoons indoors, reading and baking.
