• The Automotive Worker performs a variety of minor repairs and services to maintain motor vehicles, duties that require an understanding of simple vehicle maintenance
• Places and maintains decals on vehicles, checks and replaces batteries, rotates, repairs, and replaces tires, washes, polishes, and cleans interiors and differential grease and oils, checks, cleans, calibrates, and replaces spark plugs, cleans, and replaces oil and air filters
• Adjusts brakes, replaces windshield wipers, and similar minor parts
• Assists on major overhaul jobs by disassembling and cleaning parts, repairing components such as generators and water pumps, and replacing thermostats, points, electrical wiring, and other items

• Performs all work in accordance with the applicable Technical Manual for the vehicle and work assigned
• Must be able to recognize and know the proper usage of a variety of automotive tools
• Performs all other position-related duties as assigned or requested

Supervises inmates in living areas and recreational activities. Supervises inmates and visitors in visitation areas.

Serves as control center officer, coordinates and monitors inmate movements, conducts counts, and provides emergency response.

Serves as mailroom, field tower, medical security, perimeter security, and/or gate officer as required.

Provides security in treatment activities and supervises labor crews in the kitchen and other specialized areas.

Ensures prompt and appropriate assistance to inmates in the event of injury, illness, and emotional trauma.

Prepares reports and maintains daily logs as required.

Initiates disciplinary reports.

Conduct shakedown for contraband materials, either individually or as part of a specialized team.

Promotes facility cleanliness and reports need for maintenance and/or repairs.

Serves as a member of special teams to respond.

Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.
