Dual Credit BNAT Program – High School
Completed a Basic Nurse Assistant Training (BNAT) program while earning dual credit, developing foundational patient care skills and gaining early exposure to clinical environments.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Shadowing – Kentucky Children’s Hospital
Observed two NICU teams providing high-acuity neonatal care, with a focus on cardiac support, developmental care, and multidisciplinary collaboration in a Level IV NICU setting.

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Shadowing – Kentucky Children’s Hospital
Gained exposure to pediatric critical care, patient-family interactions, and multidisciplinary team dynamics.

NICU Synthesis Experience – Baptist Health Hospital (8 Weeks)
Will complete an 8-week immersive synthesis in the NICU as part of clinical training. I will closely work with experienced NICU nurses. I hope to develop hands-on competency in neonatal assessments. This will strengthen my clinical judgment and communication in high-stress situations.

Shoulder to Shoulder Global Health Program – Ecuador
Participated in a healthcare service-learning program focused on delivering care in underserved communities. Developed adaptability, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to health equity.

Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago – Shadowing Experience with Audrey Knapp (June 3, 2025)
Shadowed the NICU staff at Lurie Children’s Hospital, observing advanced neonatal care and gaining direct exposure to the hospital’s standards for excellence, compassion, and patient-centered practice.
