Medical Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit

• Provided care for two unstable adult ICU patients requiring mechanical ventilation, central and arterial lines, chest tubes, and multiple intravenous medications/drips.
• Innovative problem solver, successful in managing time, prioritizing tasks, exercising sound judgement, and improving the safety and quality of patient care.
• Assisted physicians with bedside procedures such as central line insertions, bronchoscopies, tracheostomies, and intubations.

Neurological Surgical Intensive Care Unit

• Provided direct bedside care of critically ill patients suffering stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhages, brain tumors, and various neurological surgeries.
• Performed complete physical assessments on patients with a variety of acute neurological changes, as well as various medical conditions while using nursing judgement to ensure patient safety.
• Served as an effective liaison between patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication of relevant information.

Progressive Care Unit

• Responsible for the care of 3-4 critically ill patients ranging from young adults to geriatric population; including alcohol withdrawal, drug overdose, septic shock, respiratory failure, stroke, COVID-19, and mentally declining patients requiring emergent critical care decisions, neurological assessments and continuous cardiac monitoring.
• Experienced with care of patients involving ventilators, tracheostomies, central lines, EKG monitoring, foley catheters, and post op care.
