Supervise and monitor juveniles who are placed on court-ordered probation.
Monitor juvenile's adjustment in the home, community, and at school. This monitoring is completed by meeting on a regular basis with the juvenile, parents, school officials, and any community agency providing services to the juvenile.
Administer Juvenile Risk Assessments (JRA) in order to properly identify the juvenile's risk of re-offending.
Case plan with the juveniles in order to address their specific needs.
Submit reports and recommendations to the court regarding the juveniles.
Meet regularly with the juvenile's in the office/home/school to help them complete court orders, check on their well being, and assist them with their needs.
Properly document all contacts/court appearances/reports with the juveniles.
Assist in referring juveniles to other agencies they are in need of.
Is an Arrest and Control Tactics Certified Instructor through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.
Was responsible for the supervision, safety, care, and counseling of the residents at the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center in order to provide a secure, structured environment conducive to the physical safety and well-being of the residents.
Led focus groups daily covering a range of topics. (Rational Behavior Training, Anger Management, Risk Management, Restorative Justice, Addictions, Social Skills)
