Company Overview: FHLB Dallas is one of the 11 banks in the Federal Home Loan Bank System that brings liquidity to 7,000 financial institutions in the U.S. FHLB is operated independently and provides financial products, including advances, and services to about 800 institutions.

FHLB Dallas core banking system of record is FIS InTrader, written in Progress OpenEdge. The bank acquired the source code and heavily customized InTrader to support its business specificities.

Hired for 6 months, I became the key Progress developer to support the mission critical InTrader system: new products and features, business users support, auditing requirements, etc

Anticipating a move from an in-house system to an Azure cloud based system, all customizations were removed and ported to several .Net systems written in C# with APIs to InTrader. As of last July, the FHLB Dallas system of record was switched to Calypso.

• Company Overview: PubliCharts is a Progress OpenEdge cloud based multi-tenant SaaS Web based financial publishing system, geared for traders and technical analysis professionals
• Designed 100% of the system from ground-up to create rich documents/digital media containing professional grade trading charts, external data, documents and on-line advertising
• The application runs on PSC Arcade (Amazon Cloud AWS): Linux OpenEdge 11.1 Development Server and Webspeed
• The system is written in OpenEdge ABL, but generates HTML5, True Postscript and PDF
• The front end is JQuery Mobile (HTML5, CSS, Javascript, …) and uses REST protocol to communicate with the back-end
• The system uses multiple XML APIs to communicate and gets data from external systems (Yahoo Finance, Quandl, Federal Reserve Bank of St Louis (FRED), SEC filings (EDGAR), …)
• An Adobe Flash Builder front end is in use too for development purposes
• The application is currently moth-balled

• Company Overview: Electronics for Imaging, Inc Is a global technology company that provides software solutions for the printing industry
• Managed and developed printChannel B2B Web-2-print e-commerce application, expanding system functionality, analyzing and implementing customization requirements, etc
• Participated in other developments of Web-2-print systems for the company: Did customization work for many printers using EFI Monarch Enterprise system, a large scale Progress based system running in a MS Windows client/server mode, with exposure to GUI for .NET

• Company Overview: printChannel.com was a B2B Web-2-print company that was acquired by printCafe in 2002
• Pursuing database publishing concepts and systems developed in prior years, wrote from scratch, the very 1st entire B2B Web-2-print system using Progress Software 4GL and RDBMS: HTML Front-end, Back-end, RDBMS architecture, digital publishing engine, at its core, a real SaaS multi-tenancy system before the acronyms were invented
• Chris wrote about 80% of the current 400,000 lines of 4GL/ABL code
• Application was ported from V9 on Solaris to V10.2 on Red Hat Linux
• Led creation of printChannel.com, a dot.com, before dot.com existed! We were VC funded in 2000, post-crash, by Warburg Pincus (NY)
• Over 3 million billable orders went through the system
• Over 100 printers were using the system setting up 10's of 1000’s of products
