This is a letter to provide a testament to the talent, work ethic, and dedication of Christ Dany. I had the pleasure of working with Christ for 2 years while I was the Outlet Manager for Aventura Hotel. This letter is intended to speak to the high degree of service excellence, teamwork, and dedication Christ had to the department while I was the Department Head of the F&B Quick Service Outlets.
I would often tell the story about how Christ was the first interview I had for Urban Pantry, the 3-Meal Quick Service Outlet at Aventura Hotel. When rebuilding the team for our post-Covid reopening, Christ was the first cashier I had the delight to meet and hire. Although soft-spoken, Christ came with a lot of experience in retail cashiering and had a great attitude. As a member of our reopening team, a lot of training with a lot of new team members had to be completed in a short span of time, so when it came to POS Training and Cash Handling, Christ was a key player in working with other new hires who did not have the experience and background that he did. This promoted teamwork and camaraderie among the team, and helped Christ break out of his shell a little, displaying the great personality he possessed.
Through our operation, Christ was always happy to lend a hand where needed. He could work at any station with ease, even though he preferred our busiest station since he, as well as his leadership, knew it would run smoothly with him at the helm. And, throughout all of our busy times and challenges (including Hurricane Ride-Outs), nothing compared to his hard work and perseverance through our Halloween Horror Nights extended operation. To operate a grab and go, that needs to be fully set up and broken down each night, until 4am each night was quite a challenge. And it was difficult to staff on a regular basis. But Christ was always willing to work those long, late shifts. With his help, we increased our YOY Revenue for two years in a row, with the first year being a record-breaking $100k+ season, exceeding pre-Covid revenue by over 40%. That would not have been achievable without the assistance of team members like Christ.
During my time there, Christ became a staple part of our team. He remains a dedicated and important member of that operation to this day. As he continues to learn and grow, I can only see him becoming more valuable and more talented. He is an individual I miss working with to this day, and always reflect on our time at Aventura with fondness. I look forward to seeing how he excels in the future.
