As a Tech 3 and certified welder my responsibilities encompass a range of tasks essential for maintaining and enhancing conveyor systems and associated machinery.

  • Overseeing the upkeep of conveyor systems, including motors, belts, chains, and sprockets.
  • Utilizing power tools for the maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Fabricating and installing new conveyor belts as required.
  • Performing welding tasks as necessary based on equipment needs.
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and control systems, Including Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), outlets, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and power supplies. This involves adhering to lockout/tagout procedures, reading electrical schematics, editing PLC ladder logic, and managing backups and updates for PLCs.
  • Rebuilding and servicing sorters from brands such as Fives, Dematic, and Honeywell by replacing chains, drive shafts, motors, and bearings, as well as adjusting pointers to ensure precise package diversion.
  • Leading a team of 3-4 technicians in the absence of managers, ensuring effective communication between maintenance and operations management to minimize downtime and promptly reporting any issues to management.
  • Troubleshooting coaxial cables for camera systems and communication with PLCs in MCP panels.
  • Bravo Zulus for beyond designing and building ramp for small Hydraulic dumper, another Bravo Zulu for cost saving hard to fix twenty coaxial cables that were hard to cut and made ends meet for all A-wing cameras and troubleshooting the coaxial cable from communications of MCP panels and multiple other Bravo Zulus in cost saving.
  • Finished Simutech training in industrial in industrial controls one and two, Electrical circuits, Motor circuit, and PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) circuits.
