I have a strong dedication and passion working with individuals in the mental health field for over 13+ years. I have served thousands through my work; I am currently a 'Certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist' with a strong background in Psychology. I have worked several leading and supporting positions in career ranging from a 'Sr. Pastor' position at an international well-known entity, 'Administration and Management' of different facilities. Specialized 'Counseling and Therapy, Effective Group Facilitation skills, Youth, Adult, Trainings, Teachings, Therapy, Support and Recovery Groups. My expertise skills include public speaking to small group and large mass groups. I also have experience working at the clinical level as a 'Substance abuse Counselor' along with physical, learning, and mental health disorders. I can easily resolve conflicts, prevent crisis and resolve them as well. I easily adapt with working and serving individuals from multi-race backgrounds, individuals with substance, physical, learning, mental disabilities and disorders.   • Expertise knowledge of Seventeen Core Competencies, and Code of Ethics in compliance with Senate Bill 803 established by The Department of Health Care Services
  • Work directly with the coordinator of the (PSST) class in the role of Instructor/co-instructor in all activities pertaining to the program
  • Provide Counseling to those in need, additional support by helping sort out situations affecting their performance in class and in their everyday lives and providing wellness checks on all the participants
  • Assist in prevention, intervention of any Crisis Situation any of the participants of the (PSST) Class may have, due to any triggers/stressors by the (Role Plays) or Competencies taught or any ongoing situations and problems occurring in the participants daily lives
  • Assist the coordinator as an instructor, co-instructor during the hours the training is provided by explaining the topics (Competencies) of the day and answering questions students may have and providing additional resources for the Session of the day
  • Provide additional training to the students who need it and provide additional resources for those who ask for them
  • Assist with interviews for potential candidates for upcoming classes
  • Provide training for students who previously took the class and are now (interns) by teaching them office responsibilities, preparing materials for upcoming classes, enforcing classrooms rules, confidentiality, providing support for students, conducting themselves in a professional matter as a role model to their peers
