I am a collaborative staff-level engineer dedicated to continuous improvement and growth. I believe that the most valuable learning experiences come from hands-on work. I am driven by high ambitions, a positive attitude, and a strong thirst for knowledge. My goal is to harness these qualities to help our team achieve its objectives efficiently and effectively.
In my role, I was tasked with building a mature and efficient cloud engineering team to support our GCP organization. Initially, the organization lacked a dedicated cloud engineering team, leaving the data team to manage infrastructure manually through the console. This transitioned to a monolithic Terraform codebase, which the team also managed, but it quickly revealed the scaling issues typical of such designs. Recognizing the need for a more sustainable solution, the organization decided to establish a dedicated infrastructure team. Once I joined, I successfully expanded the team from 3 to 7 engineers and implemented a strategic direction for our infrastructure through yearly initiatives.
One of my key achievements was completely re-architecting our legacy Terraform setup, transforming the monolithic infrastructure codebase into a poly-repo format to support repo democratization. This change resolved the bottlenecks caused by the legacy codebase. Additionally, I took the lead in designing our GCP infrastructure, ensuring that our team consistently delivered cost-efficient and reliable solutions across environments.
