I am a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant with hands-on experience gained through a four-month shadowing period at Greenfields in Geneva, IL, while completing my CNA training as well as working at Harmony for a couple months after. My main focus is nursing, and I am passionate about providing high-quality care to patients. Through my training and clinical practice, I have developed strong skills in vital sign monitoring, patient hygiene assistance, mobility support, and infection control. I pride myself on my ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, as well as work efficiently with healthcare teams to ensure patient comfort and safety. I am attentive to details and take pride in my work, whether it's observing changes in patient conditions, providing emotional support, or assisting with day-to-day activities. With a foundation built on teamwork, patience, and adaptability, I am committed to growing within the healthcare field. My goal is to continue advancing my nursing skills and work towards becoming a registered nurse (RN) in the future. In the meantime, I am excited to apply my current experience and continue learning in a healthcare environment that values compassionate patient care. Outside of my nursing career, I am a student-athlete at the University of Dubuque, where I play football and have earned the 2024-2025 Fall All-Academic Award for maintaining a 3.5 cumulative GPA while balancing sports and academics. Additionally, I play rugby during the summer, which helps me stay active, build teamwork skills, and stay disciplined. These extracurricular activities allow me to maintain a strong work-life balance and further develop qualities like leadership, resilience, and time management.
