Accomplishments

I was voted to be the first Teacher of the Year of Nathan-Hale Ray Middle School in 2013. Following this great achievement, I was named the Teacher of the Year for the entire East Haddam School District in 2014. I was recognized by CASL, Connecticut Association of School Librarians in 2017. The Pellerin Classroom Teacher Award represents the value of instructional partnerships with Library Media Specialist for the entire state. In 2018, I was awarded the Fund for Teachers, which paid for a two week study of the Holocaust, searching for primary sources for my students. I traveled through Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland.
