  • Plan, implement, and manage program events and student engagement activities including but not limited to alumni events, concerts, recordings, performances, masterclasses, lectures, interviews, symposia, colloquia, conferences, and receptions. Organize, schedule, and manage related auditions, placements, and rehearsals. Analyze space needs and make necessary logistical preparations. Develop special projects in coordination with faculty and Department leadership.
  • Provide cross-program support for mixed instrumental ensembles, concerts, recordings, productions and events within the department. Collaborate closely with administrative staff, faculty, and students in other academic programs to ensure smooth operations and quality control.
  • Prepare and manage the annual academic program budget. Work with faculty and program directors to assess project budget needs and expenses, and facilitate authorization for expenditures. Reconcile budgets and expenditure reports with University general ledger. Prepare midyear forecasts and propose adjustments and reallocations to accommodate evolving program needs. Regularly report program financial status and concerns to Department Administration. Compile and prioritize fiscal requests for Program Director review and authorization. Liaise with Department Administration to facilitate personnel appointments, procurement, non-personnel payments, and to resolve discrepancies. Oversee lodging, travel, and other appointments for faculty, adjunct faculty, and guests of the University.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate department, school and university constituencies to create, develop, and maintain contractual agreements between the department and various NYU and non-NYU affiliates to advance the mission and goals of the program.
  • Oversee program facilities and equipment including but not limited to classrooms, rehearsal spaces, practice spaces, technology equipment, libraries, and instrument collections. Maintain inventory when necessary and ensure that facilities and equipment remain in good working condition for program use. Coordinate, manage, and execute equipment purchases, rentals, and moves. Report to Facilities and Department Administration on the state of facilities and equipment with recommendations for improvements, repairs, and changes.
