Home Health Care Aide/ Personal Care Aide for my father. I had left previous employment in June of 2016 due to personal reasons, including my fathers mobility and self care beginning to decline due to Multiple sclerosis. In August of 2022 I was able to become his Home Health Care/ Personal Care Aide until he passed away in May 2025.


Job duties included but were not limited to:

  • Helped patients maintain personal hygiene through bathing, grooming, and toileting assistance when necessary for dignity preservation.
  • Maintained a clean and safe home environment for patients, reducing falls and accidents.
  • Supported mobility issues by assisting with transfers, ambulation, and exercises as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Managed medical appointments and transportation.
  • Present and involved in all medical appointments, hospital admissions ER visits as well as most procedures and tests.
  • Administered medications according to physician instructions and closely monitored medication supplies for expiration dates or low stock levels.
  • Assisted in meal planning, preparation, feeding assistance, dietary restriction's adherence, and monitoring fluid intake and output.
  • Performed duties such as laundry, dishwashing, tidying up living space for a comfortable environment
  • Aided in wound care management including cleaning wounds.
