Cover Letter

01/14/2026 To Whom It May Concern. In my search for new and creative endeavors, I am excited to apply for the Executive Director’s job at The Community Library Center of the Ozarks.  I currently serve as an Executive Library Director at Lebanon-Laclede County Library. I served as a Supervisory Librarian (NF-04) at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, for 3.5 years. I graduated from San Jose State University with a Master’s Degree in Library Information Science. I also have a bachelor’s degree in human resource management. I love working in the library, but I would like to get a job that is closer to my home. I have found there are more opportunities in this line of work. I have over ten years of experience when it comes to organizing workloads, library planning, and goals. I know I would make a valuable member of your team. I have worked with diverse communities and am well-diverse in evaluating their needs. The skills I have obtained in the library go beyond just checking books out. I have attended meetings and participated in training. I have provided services to mission service members, civilians, and their families. I can communicate professionally with people that work at all levels. I had to learn to complete forms and how to operate new software to complete my job. Phone calls, emails, follow-ups, and budget requisitions were also a part of my responsibilities. I am enthusiastic about presenting myself as a representative in the community and networking to serve our community better. I am eager to speak more with you about this opportunity, and I hope you will consider me for the Director’s position. I believe my initiative, customer service skills, and dedication to helping others would make me an asset to your team, and I look forward to hearing from you. I hope that I will be selected for an interview, and I look forward to hearing from you. My phone number, email address, and home address are at the top of this letter. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Christina E. Chaney MLIS
