Certified Pharmacy Technician

ERev Supply Chain
12.2023 - Current

Manual Fill Station:

  • Trained in the filling of manual prescription. Used the Nexia application to manually fill prescriptions. The fill RX button is selected which brings up a listing of batches to be filled listed by fill times. A batch group is selected to be filled. By selecting the fill RX button, the computer will display which drug and its location is to be used to fill the prescription. After locating the drug and the quantity needed, the stock bottle is scanned to ensure the proper product has been selected. If the correct product is achieved a patient label will be printed. After adhering the label to a vial bottle, the label is scanned turning on the Eyecon scale. The Eyecon is used to weigh out the correct number of pills required to fill the prescription. Once the desired quantity is weighed on the scale, and all excess pills are returned to the stock bottle, the pills are added to the patients vial bottle. Overhead view photographs of the pills are taken as well as a frontal view of the prescription label showing the patients name and prescription number for pharmacist verification purposes. A cap is then added and heated to provide a safety seal. All remaining prescriptions for the patient in the batch are filled and bagged together for packing pick up.

TCA Replenishment:

  • Trained in the replenishment of the HD, 0.5-2L, and XL TCA canisters. Following the canister priority filling list from the top to the bottom (high priority to low priority), a canister is retrieved from the assigned location. The canister is placed onto the docking station which prompts the computer screen to display the drug required for filling and its location, and number of stock bottles need to fill the canister. After retrieving the correct drug and quantity, the stock bottles are scanned one at a time dumping the drug into the clear plastic bin. Any cotton pieces and desiccants are removed from the pills. After verifying that no foreign objects are located in the clear bin, the pills are transferred to the canister. The camera is initialized by acknowledging that the canister has been filled with the correct quantity of pills. A photograph is taken for pharmacist verification purposes. The photograph is approved if visually acceptable. The canister is then sealed with a zip tie and scanned into an out window location from which it will be picked up by a cart runner for placement onto the Pods.
