Work History

Administrative Assistant, Permitting Coordinator, and Design Coordinator

Legacy Builders on the west Coast
01.2017 - Current
  • I loved my job at North-port Gymnastics but decided to leave after only a year due to my family needing help running the family business. We had one employee retire, and one move away, so I joined the team and have been there ever since. I’ve worked both full and part time. Currently, I am part time due to schooling and my stroke. I am responsible for taking phone calls, composing emails, client communication, data entry, permitting of the houses we build, and just overall regular office duties. Since my stroke I have taken on more duties, but ultimately only work part time majority of the time. Since I started there, we decided last year to move our roofing division back to Florida from Texas and I’ve been doing most of the marketing for that as well as being of help administratively to our employees in that sector. Lastly, I added design coordinator to my list of titles as we do not have a designer on staff and our clients just need someone to organize their selections for them. It’s quite a nice set up as I am getting design experience while in school to be a designer. Given my long list of job titles, I am responsible for interacting with all of our clients and staff on a daily basis. I have a ton of experience in team work as most of my daily duties require me to work with coworkers whether I am helping out with purchasing or running weekly staff meetings.

  • I left my job at the YMCA due to a very toxic work environment and decided to work at another facility doing the same type of work. Here I was responsible for teaching recreational gymnastics classes, running the afterschool program, running day and summer camps, help host open gym every Friday, and run birthday parties on the weekends.

  • I started as a volunteer at the age of 14 and got hired at 15. I was responsible for teaching recreational gymnastics and dance classes as well as running day/summer camps and afterschool programs. I also ran birthday parties most every weekend until I decided to leave at 17 at the beginning of my senior year in high school.
