With twenty years of expertise in the field of human services, as a social worker, I have diversified experience in child protection investigations, targeted case management for civil commitments, intensive (Rule 79), children's mental health case management, and professional guardianship or conservatorship. I have also provided treatment and group facilitation in various roles, such as parenting time coach, intake coordinator, program assistant manager, behavioral analyst, and mental health practitioner. My work has focused on serving individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders, as well as offender rehabilitation, within the Ramsey County Community Health Services, MN-DHS AMRTC, and MSOCS divisions.

Additionally, I have volunteer experience with the Anoka County Minnesota DHS Disaster Behavioral Health Team and several other charities that support partnerships between law enforcement and human services organizations, along with homeless outreach, parenting time supervision, domestic violence, and sexual violence.

  • Social Worker: Disaster Behavioral Health Team (DBHT), Anoka County/FEMA, 03/2020, 01/2022, The Minnesota Department of Health and Human Services has developed an organized team of behavioral health providers to respond to the mental health needs of Minnesota residents following disasters (e.g., bioterrorism, man-made or natural disasters). When activated, these regional Disaster Behavioral Health Team (DBHT) can be deployed immediately to anywhere in the state. The team responds to disasters or critical incidents when local behavioral health resources have been depleted or are overwhelmed. The goal of the Disaster Behavioral Health Team (DBHT) is to provide an organized response to individual victims, family members, survivors, or the community affected by critical incidents or disasters. Other duties include, crisis line coverage, case management for COVID+ individuals and their families. Duties include provision of ADL/IADL supports for families with acute illness and service system implementation for long term issues and concerns, and behavioral health support assignment within National Guard units deployed for congregate care testing.
