  • As the Regional Director, I was responsible for four sites in Ohio. I facilitated interdisciplinary team meetings, identified appropriate length of service according to Medicare guidelines. I ensured that conditions of participation were met for Homecare and Hospice surveys. Sites I ran included Columbus, Dayton, Akron, and Cincinnati. Ensured payroll for all employees was completed and accurate every two weeks (approx. 50 employees). Initiated blood pressure clinics, raffles for fundraisers for community needs, improved patient outcomes with evidence-based research that was implemented into practice in all disciplines. Held weekly meetings via phone and online (skype) with marketing, clinical staff (nurses, nursing assistants, physical therapist, occupational therapist, and speech therapist), as well as administrative assistants. Routine reporting to CEO regarding financial gains, budgetary constraints, and how to increase productivity and efficacy within the company. Initiated on-time QAPI meetings, reviewed analysis of feedback and progress, as well as developed a plan of correction/improvement. I left this position, as it required a significant amount of travel throughout Ohio for 1 week at a time, and my husband was going through treatment for cancer, and I wanted to be closer to home.

  • As a clinical liaison, I was responsible to facilitate patient admission from short term acute care hospital to long term acute care hospital, and after proving strong leadership and guidance along with strong communication skills, I was asked to take the dayshift Nursing House Supervisor position in Cleveland hospital Long Term Acute Care facility. As the house supervisor, I was responsible to ensure safe and adequate staffing ratios, I was on the administration council and provided oversight of a multidisciplinary council that met weekly for updates on process improvement, policy and procedure updates, attendance and review of interdisciplinary rounds, as well as patient and family satisfaction survey review and resolve of any concerns. I attended in house surgical procedures and provided conscious sedation. I ensured all staff were trained and competent according to their level of education and position description. I also attended weekly conferences with other collaborating administrators and partnering hospitals. Interviewed, hired, and provided disciplinary action of hospital staff in absence of the Chief Nursing Officer.
