  • Implement modalities as needed for pain management or neuromuscular re-education including TENS, NMES, hot/cold packs under the direction of the OTR.
  • Educate patient and caregiver on energy conservation strategies to improve functional activity tolerance.
  • Collaborate with other health care professionals to develop strategies for improving the quality of life for the client.
  • Communicate effectively to Home Health team members regarding patient changes such as new health concerns, falls, doctor visit schedules, new diagnosis, new medications.
  • Conduct assessments of client's abilities and monitored progress towards their goals reporting findings to OTR supervisor utilizing experienced clinical observation skills, MMT, Borg exertion scale, and Borg Dyspnea Scale.
  • Document effectively using standardized note writing format.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment throughout all therapy sessions by utilizing clean bag technique and universal precautions.
  • Monitor vital signs during therapy sessions and promptly reported any vitals outside of parameter to supervising therapist, clinical manager, and doctor.
  • Follow up with patients or doctors after patient incidents.
  • Work closely with supervising OTR having continual communication throughout the patient's case from evaluation to discharge.
