ULTRASOUND TECH:

• Providing clear and detailed reports of findings to physicians for diagnosis.
• Train and mentor new sonographers hired for the Southeast OPID region (Bayshore, Pearland, League City).
• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate results and develop diagnostic plans (biopsies, aspirations, etc.) in breast imaging.
• Confidently interact with patients in explaining exams and procedures, answer questions, and deliver breast imaging reports, as requested by the interpreting breast radiologist onsite.
• Scrubbing patient accounts for consistency and accuracy: Ensuring upcoming appointment patient accounts have valid orders with the correct exams requested related to the patient's history, diagnosis, and resolving any discrepancies by requesting clarification and/or revised orders.
• Maintaining professional knowledge and skills through continuing education.

SAFETY CHAMPION:

• Lead weekly safety huddles with creative engagement to enhance staff awareness and participation in patient and workplace safety.
• Conduct monthly quality and safety audits, including hand hygiene observance, to ensure infection prevention standards and Joint Commission requirements are met, reinforcing safe, high-quality patient care.
• Perform frequent rounding, updating documentation, and educating staff on compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with the team to help mitigate potential safety hazards.
