Summary

I developed a passion for education early on in my experiences at school. I wanted to be a kindergarten teacher until I decided I wanted to train tigers. During my early college education, I knew I was meant to be an educator because tours and animal presentations were my favorite part of my zoo keeping job; not training tigers. I loved teaching people of all ages new and interesting facts about each animal. Their sense of wonder and enjoyment was part of the excitement of my job. Because of this, I will strive, in any setting, to find student interests. Education becomes so much more enjoyable and exciting when we are fueled by our own curiosity. I am looking to maintain a job in the education field that will grow my skills as a teacher, colleague, and person.
