Grant Writing

W.A.L.D.E.N Pond was the title of an outdoor environmental classroom project designed for students to learn, explore, & be involved within multi-disciplinary areas of the elementary curriculum. Adjacent to the elementary campus and bordered by the Education Foundation housing the Stavros Center, was a small retention pond with approx an acre of flora & fauna ideal to carry out experiments, using GPS handheld devices to map out areas, and work with the local bat conservatory, and the 4-H Florida Extension Service.

This grant was a collaborative effort with the Special Projects Director at the Pinellas County Administration Building.
