  • Responsible for the organization's electronic health record's (EHR) planning, implementing, designing work-flow analysis, training, auditing, and on-going quality assurance for 22 multidisciplinary clinic sites.
  • Supervise and manage projects related to improved documentation and improved clinic work flow.
  • Collaborate closely with administrative leaders, management, providers, nurses, front desk and all lines of ancillary staff to help organization achieve its annual strategic goals.
  • Customize all components within the EHR in order to remain in compliance with mandatory grant requirements to include Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs (Meaningful Use).
  • Responsible for integrating into practice required standards put forth by the Joint Commission (JCAHO), National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), and Uniformed Data System (UDS), regulations and requirements under the direction of the Medical Director.
  • Conduct testing for San Antonio's Health Information Exchange Project (Health Care Access San Antonio-HASA).
  • Responsible for generating reports from the EHR to communicate with administrative staff clinical outcome measures in order to improve patient care.
  • Create and maintain training manuals for all lines of staff for the organization's EHR.
  • Successfully train all providers and staff on Meaningful Use (MU) indicators.
  • Successfully attested for Meaningful Use Stage 1 year 1-2 for 39 providers.
  • Oversee and provide on-site EHR training for medical providers.
  • Collaborate with key staff focused on patient-centered initiatives to improve patient care and disease prevention.
