My currently role as an assistant manager consists of making sure to follow up with the ongoing manager at the beginning of the shift to ensure that the assigned shift tasks are executed and provide any feedback if necessary. My daily tasks usually begins with entering end of day paperwork/invoices/cash entries into the database and to verify and/or explain any cash discrepancies that may follow. Alongside with that, following up with the General Manager and creating systems in order to execute and enforce the correct company procedures and standards. Ona daily basis, store management follows up with the Operations Supervisor in regards to any announcements about store policies, explanations about month-to-date cash shrink/inventory loss, and providing explanations and accountability as requested. As customer service representatives, we strive to provide quality guest service to customers and assist them with any questions or guest inquiries about any in-store promotions on products/gas whether in person, emails or over the phone.
My daily tasks usually consist of checking in vendor deliveries and reassuring that the correct total of items reflect what’s provided on the invoice, stock and merchandise the store, alongside maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the stores inside and outside conditions. Also, responsible for delegating daily tasks amongst the staff and follow up with those given tasks. On a weekly basis, providing assistance with inventory audits to make sure to control shrink. Driving in-store sales as well as promoting a positive work environment and ensuring the team they are more than welcome to reach out with any concerns and be receptive to feedback especially with managers vice versa. Assist with any onboarding/food training, processing payroll and ensuring all clock in-out entries are accurate and making schedules (if necessary). In the event there are any in/out door maintenance issues, we log maintenance requests or in some events we troubleshoot the issues.
