I have worked for the same company for almost 16 years. Spent 9 of those in our Deli department, pushing weekly sales of different products and brands. Fostering a healthy team environment. The next 6 years i have worked in our Meat department, the last 3 years being an Assistant Meat Manager. My first job in this role is to help my associates succeed, and that starts with proper training, the very first thing being premiere customer service. My role is to lead the team into the daily tasks, maintaining proper sanitation and inventory, and assisting the Meat manager with all tasks. We have orders that are done daily, of all different type. Quarterly we have an inventory of the entire department, comparing that with the previous inventory and seeing what is off and how we can improve. Fostering a fun/safe and good work environment. Following through with tasks given to the associates, and if tasks are not completed, find out why and how we can proceed and improve. The best associates are the ones who love coming to work and even if they have a rough day, they know that have a great team beside them to power though and still have a great time. Becoming almost family though it all. I want my team, my family to succeed, in turn that makes me successful as well.
