• Receives and disseminates important information to department personnel, the Congressional community, and outside agencies that support USCP operations.
• Provides continuous oversight and support of department operations.
• Serves as the area commander in the absence of the Chief of Police or the Chief of Operations. Implement response and recovery plans as needed and may prioritize allocation of resources and personnel, ensuring effective direction for response.

• Responsible for performance reviews of subordinate officers.
• Conducted roll call training and ensured adherence to uniform and grooming standards.
• Held counseling sessions as needed with subordinate officers and recommended discipline as applicable.
• Documented performance of subordinate officers and created performance improvement plans as necessary.

Command Transferred to Operational Services Bureau

• Administrative Sergeant for third shift responsible for staffing schedules, ensuring all subordinates were scheduled and attended required in-service training.
• Assigned as commander of Motor Unit and Motorcade program manager.
• Actively patrol the Capitol Complex, protecting Members, thwarting crime and stopping offenders from disrupting the Legislative process and activities.
• Provide community outreach and police presence. Provide department-wide training in 883 motorbikes for Civil Disturbance Unit activations and routine patrols.
• Assign traffic enforcement units during rush hour and provide routine and random service vehicle inspections in collaboration with the DC Taxi commission to ensure compliance with established regulations.
• Perform regular liaison with federal, state and local agency partners ensuring integration with formal and informal networks and associations.
• Protect and safeguard the Congressional Community from criminal and terrorist acts and other potentially disruptive events by deploying adequate personnel resources and procedures. Developed and utilized protective measures and procedures to ensure the safety of special events while maintaining the security and protection of the Congressional community and legislative process.
• Conducted incident command activities using the National Incident Command System (NIMS) to ensure effective coordination with other organizations during an incident.
• Completed procurement requests for equipment related to Motor United operations.

Assigned to Uniform Services Bureau, First Responder Unit

• Responded immediately to reports of criminal activity, calling for additional support as necessary.
• Answered emergency calls for help from citizens and business owners.
• Apprehended offenders and conducted interviews and interrogations.
• Patrol assigned area by foot and mountain bike to help direct traffic, enforce laws, and ensure public safety.
• Answer calls and investigate complaints of criminal activity.
• Take proper action at crime scenes by gathering evidence, locating witnesses, and making arrests as needed.
• Selected for Advanced Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT). Completed training as hazardous materials technician to conduct law enforcement operations in HAZMAT conditions.
• Field Training Officer
