VARIOUS BOARD MEMBER POSITIONS

CHINO COMMUNITY THEATRE
Chino, CA
01.2006 - Current
  • I have filled various elected volunteer positions on the CCT Board since 2006, including President, Vice President, and Artistic Director.
  • As President, I was the representative of the theater to the community and scheduled two meetings each month for the board and the general membership.
  • As Vice President, I was primarily responsible for scheduling auditions, rehearsals, performances, and events at the theater building CCT shares with the Chino Community Children's Theatre, and covering for the President at meetings when needed.
  • As Artistic Director (current position), I am responsible for the artistic integrity of our shows, convening a play selection committee each summer to choose our next season, and interviewing and hiring directors for each show in our season.

FREELANCE THEATER DIRECTOR

VARIOUS THEATER COMPANIES
VARIOUS, CA
09.2004 - Current
  • I direct live theater shows at various theaters in Southern California, which includes having auditions, casting the show, scheduling rehearsals, staging the show and working with the production crew at each theater.
  • Since 2004, I have directed over 50 productions.

CUSTOMER SERVICE / OPTIONS COORDINATOR

T. MCGEE ELECTRIC INC.
Pomona, CA
08.1999 - Current

Communicating daily with home builders and recently-moved in homeowners regarding any repairs needed in homes under warranty. This often involves dealing with some upset and angry people.

Scheduling electrical service appointments with homeowners and customer service representatives, and sending scheduled appointments to the service electricians each night.

Dealing with any electrical emergencies that may come up during the work day, and contacting the electrical superintendents and service electricians in the field to take care of.

Being up-to-date with current electrical codes and how the homes are being wired as they relate to customer service.

Keeping an accurate record of each home wired that has required customer service, every issue reported, and all scheduled and completed service appointments.

Dealing with out-of-warranty service repairs, which often involves invoicing the home builders if they are paying for the service.

Going through all purchase orders sent daily by our home builders to look for electrical “options” (any extra electrical ordered that is not part of the standard contract).

Looking at the Inventory Database daily to see when jobs are starting and checking to see if there are any options ordered for the homes that are scheduled to be wired.

Writing Job Requisitions for the production electricians whenever there are “options” ordered for a particular home being wired and dispatching to the production electricians while the home is being wired. This is very time-sensitive.

Dealing with the Estimators regarding option descriptions and prices, and making sure that all purchase order option prices are correct.

Area Coordinator

California Educational Theatre Association
Pomona, CA
09.2009 - 12.2019

Hiring qualified people to judge high school theater productions over a three-month period.

Working with CETA representatives and the high school directors in the areas I cover to get all the show and performance information.

Scheduling judges for each show in my area, and replacing or rescheduling judges as needed. Occasionally, having to step in for a judge, if necessary.

Collecting the written adjudications from each judge, reading the evaluations to make sure they are acceptable, and then sending them to CETA.

Collecting all payment information from the judges, figuring out how much each judge gets paid, and getting all the judges’ information to CETA in a timely manner.
